You can quickly and easily create newspaper clippings like this for your blog or website using this site:
http://www.fodey.com/generators/newspaper
Just enter the your newspaper’s name, headline and a brief news story and click ‘generate’.
Download the image and upload to your blog and et voila! Very simple to use.
There is also a cigarette packet (anti smoking) generator here:

Yet another interesting generator is press display:

This generates actual news pages, just as they appear in print media (not just a copy of online news). You can get pages from a range of newspapers from around the world. You can also generate an image and automatically post it to a blog.

I recently joined the Aussie Bloggers Forum: http://www.aussiebloggers.com.au/forum/index.php This is a friendly board where Aussies discuss blogging in general. Through this forum, I made contact with Ian who is a primary teacher/librarian in Sydney’s west. He’s been doing some really interesting stuff with web 2.0 and class blogs so I thought I’d share.

“When I was editor of “Scan”, the NSW DET’s professional journal, we advised teachers to team up with their teacher-librarians to tackle book raps (and other raps) together. We used to use email listservs but now use the blog formats, to even great success. BTW, “Scan” is still a great publication filled with ICT ideas for K-12 teaching and learning. The next rap starts next week for Stage 2 students: the Olympic Games and Book Week, using a Children’s Book Council Awards shortlisted book, “The Shaggy Gully Times”:

My year 10 computing class have recently entered the DET Connected Learning Awards for student websites.
The Connected Learning Awards are run by the NSW DET to provide students with opportunities to engage with real-life situations, where they can develop skills in communicating, collaborating, self-directed learning, problem solving, researching and publishing their findings. This year’s theme is ‘Earth’. The open nature of the theme allows students to include work from a range of KLAs in any way they wish. I’m very pleased with the entries.
